NOTICE TO ALL BURN PERMIT APPLICANTS
Beginning January 1, 2026, the Lexington Volunteer Fire Department transitioned all Burn Permit Applications to an online format. Permits will no longer be issued in person at City Hall.
Applicants will now complete and submit their Burn Permit using a Google Docs form, which can be emailed directly to the fire department for approval. This change allows faster processing and ensures permits can be issued even when staff availability at City Hall is limited. The $10 processing fee will be eliminated with this change.
The link to the online Burn Permit form will be provided on the City’s website and can also be obtained using your phone’s camera and the QR Code below. Here is the link: https://forms.gle/7h8srxreZa9ue53E7
