Lexington boasts 8 public parks, plus a skateboard park, Family Aquatic Center, Lexington Fieldhouse, and Lexington Racquet Center and more. The City has more than 100 acres of recreational green space, including a growing network of hike-bike trails.
Lexington's Family Aquatic Center, 10th & Monroe, features a zero-depth pool with a water slide and other features, an Olympic-style pool and a splash pad. The pool opens annually on Memorial Day weekend and closes the weekend before Lexington HS band camp and sports conditioning begins. Regular summer hours are daily from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. Contact the Aquatic Center during those hours at 308-324-6288. Additional info found on facebook page.
