Position: Park Foreman
Department:  Park
Status: 40 hours / week Non-exempt
Schedule may include evening and weekend hours, as needed.

The Park Foreman performs a variety of supervisory and skilled tasks in the maintenance and operation of buildings, grounds, parks, open spaces, and recreation structures, as well as has direct supervision over parks maintenance workers, part-time and seasonal employees.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to operate various equipment, hand tools, materials related to ground maintenance.
  • Ability to supervise and train department employees.
  • Knowledge of general landscaping principles and practices.
  • Ability to communicate, understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to work with others and alone.
  • Ability to operate Microsoft Office products and other computer related equipment.
  • Valid Nebraska driver’s license.
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED; college coursework or degree in a related field desirable but not required.
  • Two years of relevant experience and One year of supervisory experience required.
