Water Maintenance Worker (full-time)
The Water Maintenance Worker will perform a variety of duties relating to installing and maintaining City water and sewer lines. The position entails manual labor and year-round outside work with occasional after-hours work.
- Ability to become familiar with water and sewer operations.
- Knowledge of hand tools and their uses.
- Ability to occasionally climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Knowledge of vehicles and equipment
- Ability to frequently lift up to 80 pounds
- Ability to follow directions and work well with others
- Ability to obtain water certifications
- Valid Nebraska driver’s license
Police Sergeant (full-time)
Seeking qualified individuals for the position of Police Sergeant. Required to possess a Nebraska Law Enforcement Certification, be a United States Citizen, and have a minimum of 4 years total law enforcement patrol experience. Must be of good moral character, no felony convictions, serious misdemeanors, domestic charges or dishonorable discharge from military service. Must be able to obtain all certifications needed for a supervisor position and must be able to maintain certifications. Individuals will directly supervise officers, enforce policies and procedures, state statutes and city ordinances, investigate and conduct public relations. Police Officer (full-time)
Certified applicants will be required to complete the department’s field training program. Non-certified applicants will be attending basic training at the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center with full pay and benefits. Other qualifications include being at least 21 years of age, a United States citizen, the ability to work weekends, holidays and nights as needed; possess a valid Nebraska operator’s license and have a good driving record; possess a high school diploma or GED. Must be of good moral character; no felony convictions, serious misdemeanors, domestic charges or dishonorable discharge from military service
