America Recycles Day
Always on November 15. Keep America Beautiful believes that recycling is something we can all agree on. And what better time of year to be in agreement than today — America Recycles Day, the only nationally-recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States.
There are many actions each of us can take to reduce our environmental impact and support a clean, green and beautiful community. One of the easiest actions to take every day is to recycle. Together, we can commit to the ‘Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.’ mantra in every aspect of our lives and continue to build momentum for recycled materials that can be used to manufacture new products, “giving our garbage another life.” Our plastic bottles can become a pair of jeans; our aluminum cans can become a bike.
It all starts with putting more of the right recyclable items in the right place — and committing to do so today. We hope you’ll take the #BeRecycled Pledge, participate in the #BeRecycled Sweepstakes, and choose to live a recycled lifestyle every day.
With this in mind, Keep America Beautiful wants to thank you for your efforts to recycle on America Recycles Day and every day — at home, at work or school, and on the go in our nation’s beautiful public spaces.
Recycling is just one step in helping Keep America Beautiful “Do Beautiful Things.” As you’ll see in our new video, created by New York-based marketing agency Oberland, the vivid, fast-paced video reinforces our message to you with the tagline: “We Keep America Beautiful, so Americans can do beautiful things.”
Let’s do beautiful things together. Let’s recycle!
