On the map below, all red, green and blue squares represent locations where the City’s portion of the Water Service Line (WSL) contains lead. The City is developing a 5-year plan to replace these.
All the colored squares indicate whether or not the customer portion of the WSL contains lead or galvanized material. The green squares have no lead or galvanized. The blue squares have lead and/or galvanized material, and should be replaced by the customer. As for the red squares, it is as yet not known what material the customer’s WSL is made of.
This link, https://apps.npr.org/find-lead-pipes-in-your-home/en/#intro, provides a very user-friendly guide to pipe material identification.
The purple squares – neither the City or customer WSLs have as yet been identified.
